Wellard Dental can help you maintain your oral hygiene standards
Whilst the responsibility for maintaining good oral hygiene ultimately lies with the individual, Wellard Dental can most certainly help you to stay on track by providing you with a thorough dental assessment every six months (otherwise known as a regular check-up) and by carrying out any remedial treatment that you may require following your initial visit.
A daily brushing and flossing regime is the foundation of any effective oral hygiene program, so if you have any questions regarding the best way to approach this, we will be more than pleased to help. We recommend that you make oral hygiene a regular part of your daily routine so that it becomes a habit and that you replace your toothbrush every three to four months or sooner if it is showing signs of wear.
In addition to developing good habits and visiting our clinic for a regular dental check-up, you should follow a sensible diet and try to avoid eating too many snacks or sweets with a high sugar content. To ensure that your gums remain as healthy as your teeth, it is important to floss at least once a day. Whilst this may initially be a rather time-consuming process, you will find that it is possible to floss your teeth and gums in just a couple of minutes once you have developed a good flossing technique.
We are committed to helping you to maintain healthy teeth and gums and offer professional cleaning and polishing services as part of our biannual check-ups.
